Computer Literacy Class 1300 Survey
1. What have you learned in this semester?
2. What subject or topic did you enjoy the most?
3. What is your major? And how would you apply what you’ve learned in your career?
I have learned how to use Microsoft applications, internet/network history and layout, technical terms and know how, computer functions and history, and how to build my own computer and select the hardware and software that best suits my application needs.
2.What subject/topic did you enjoy the most?
The subject I enjoyed the most was learning how to use Microsoft Office applications like PowerPoint and Excel in particular. Now that I know how to use these programs, I feel that my computer abilities have been enhanced and my resume greatly improved.
3.What’s your major? How would you apply what you learned in your career?
My major is an associate in arts, here at El Centro, but I intend to pursue a bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in history, and maybe double major in the arts, painting in particular. The rapidly changing Information Age of today and tomorrow will make it imperative for everyone in any decent field of work to have technological know how and computer skills, so just knowing how to use word, for example, will enable me to write my doctorate thesis and beyond.

Computer Literacy Class 1300 Survey
1. What have you learned in this semester?
I was already quite well versed in Power Point, Word, and Excel, but I still managed to learn several new tricks that I did not previously understand especially with Excel and Power Point. I was totally unfamiliar with Access at the beginning of the course, and I have not ever had a need in my career up to this point to use access. By going through the tutorials, it seems like there would be other programs out there that are similar to Access, but more user-friendly. I also learned a greater understanding of all of the details of the inner construction of a computer and the internet. There were several terms that I had heard of before, but I now have a greater understanding of their meaning, especially all of the acronyms out there!
2. What subject or topic did you enjoy the most? I enjoyed Power Point the most. I am a very visual and creative person and I like the fact that you can build almost anything into Power Point to create a presentation including video, audio, and special motion effects with graphics.
3. What is your major? And how would you apply what you’ve learned in your career? I am majoring in business, and I am currently employed full time. I use Excel and Word every single day in my job and I will continue to further my skills and experience with the knowledge that I gained in this class.
