1. What have you learned in this semester?
I have learned a lot about computers. I have learned about Operating Systems, Components of Computers, Internet and Programs. I have better enhanced my skills using Microsoft Office. On Word, I figured out so many different ways to enhance my papers and projects. I finally learned how to use this software properly. The same thing for EXCEL. I learned how to use formulas whereas before I would do the work myself and just key in the results. But now, the computer can do it for me. Access was totally new for me, so I am glad I got to experience using it. And in Power Point, I learned to create slideshows and maximize the appearance and quality of my presentations visually. I also learned a lot by the articles we shared at the beginning of class. It was neat because we got to discuss things that were going on today that we wouldn’t typically talk about or discuss in our regular lives.
2. What subject or topic did you enjoy the most?
I enjoyed Microsoft PowerPoint and the articles the most. With Microsoft PowerPoint, we worked on in class and Mr. Allyon showed us step by step how to make or create a presentation slide show. That was really neat. I liked the one on one attention he gave everyone. He took the time to explain to us how to do something if we didn’t know. With the articles, I liked the interaction with the rest of the class. I like learning new things and it made us know each other better.
3. What is your major? And how would you apply what you’ve learned in your career?
I am undecided on what my major is going to be, either accounting/business management or Education. Whichever on though, this will definitely help me in the process. It has helped me a lot with my current job (administrative assistant at a high school). I work with computers everyday, creating documents and presentations, and now I got to enhance my skills by taking this class.
